9,3x66b sako in Africa
Hi
anybody with experience with this caliber for african hunting?
yes

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

I am expecting my 9.3x66 to be finished by Xmas.
Plan to hunt the end of August next year-will let you know how it goes.

Australia
I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of drought and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror
The wide brown land for me!

I would like to add to your question about the 9.3x66 Sako if you don't mind.

1. Will this cartridge ever officially make it to North America? I know Z-Hat(Fred Zeglin) will build one. He supposedly also has stamped brass. But it would be nice if at least a laminated stocked Tikka in 9.3x66SAKO would show up on the shelves. I'd think it would be a direct contender with the "proprietary powder performance" 375RUGER. The Sako offering is bound to be more reloader friendly.

2. It's a new cartridge that definitely has some punch and appeal. I essentially view the cartridge as a legitimized and stretched "9.3x62Ackley Improved".(maybe I'm wrong) So undoubtedly the cartridge has solid roots. So now the big question: What African countries will recognize it as a legal DG round? If they already accept 9.3x62 the Sako round should be an easy choice. But what if the limits are the 9.3x74 or 375?
