BigBBearExtra Days in SA Jburg. Ideas on what to do
Looks like with my schedule I have May 28th and 29th free in Jburg area. Curious if there are any places close by or outfitters. Maybe interested in shooting something else. I will have had some customers with me that will have left but I have some time. Any ideas on who is close by. PM's are welcome.
Thanks,
Larry

infinitoSir,
I have two options for you.
As our own Gerhard Delport rightly, pointed out, pigeons on the Sunflower fields are a good option. The area where I shot 1200 in a day with four Danish shooters in February is a real ball and only 1.5 hours from the airport. I will give Glen's e-mail address gladly if you want to run this by him. I can provide shells but you will ahve to bring your own shotgun.
Option two is a 2 day PG hunt. I will be able to do a very good deal for you, and you can use one of our rifles.
I'll send a PM with full details. Also about 2 hour drive from the airport. AR members available for ref.
We do a lot of these type of hunts.
Hope you get sorted.

John FrederickWhat to do in Joberg?
Try not to get mugged.

If you manage to do that, a visit to Rowland Ward's showroom/shop is mandatory.

GanyanaYup - get out of town and go hunting- hard to beat that option...when I read the title I though- normal activity in j'hb is getting robbed or mugged- if you stay for two days, perhaps you can get taken twice? (I personally loath jo'berg- it is nearly as much fun as the south side of Atlanta....)

LOL.
I was on the South side of Atlanta last weekend dropping my parents off at the airport, and I was thinking how much it resembled Joberg, right down to the razor wire.
