Rich ElliottThe Ethiopian Maneater Hunt
The problem lion hunt I posted on AR last month was completed in early October. Below is an excerpt from an email the client just sent. All details will be in an article in
Peterson's Hunting in the upcoming months.
"... We had a great, great hunt, and got three lionesses, but no male seemed to be anywhere around. We got the two identified man-eaters, plus a big, old, lone female with bad teeth that hung out with the man-eaters on the plantation.
The Metahara folks, and Ethiopian wildlife officials, all seemed pretty happy that things went so lickety-split smooth..
We didn't use any bait, but one bony old $100 cow, and two warthogs. (The lions had been poisoned/harassed to the point that they simply wouldn't come to bait)....."
