T.CarrDo you think they have permission to post those pictures? They are from Robertson's book
The Perfect Shot.
Regards,
Terry

I'll echo T.Carr's question. Robertson did hunters a great service and deserves to be rewarded for it. Copying like this hurts everyone in the end.

NickuduTerry - I doubt they do, as I see very specific loading data incorporated into their "Taylor Knockout Formula", which smacks of posted "AR" member data.

BFaucettYeah, they even have a column for the "Bwana Saeed Index" value!

Tim CarneyHmmm. Agree with intellectual property protectors. Also notice that the illustration to duiker is actually a steenbok, although the shot placement photo is a small duiker...

NickuduMartin,
BTW - The book is terrific. Thank you, again.

500grainsMaybe they have permission to post the pics, maybe not. Anyone want to email them to ask? It looks like they have put together a website in order to be helpful to people who enjoy our sport, so we should be careful not to reach any negative conclusion without supporting evidence. (step down from soap box now)

DC300Without permisson of the author/photographer it is, quite simply, THEFT. Pictures as easily recognizable as these should be accompanied by an authorization statement. Otherwise they are in for a very expensive lawsuit. Stolen images can bring a penalty of as much as $1200.00 EACH.

AussieMikeWell, Having seen some pictures, I'm now going to buy the book - so the author will get some benefit.
As someone who travels for work a lot, and for months at a time, I'd happily pain a small premium to either get a CD of the contents of reference books like this that I could load on my hard drive or access to a website.
When home I look up books like COTW, Taylor, Donnelly etc daily but I can hardly take them all to Mongolia or Tajikistan when I go for three months.

Aye, Nick, that is the table (which you and your son so kindly put to the web) of my Bwana Saeed Index from the FAQ section of this site, Saeed's accuratereloading.
That stuff goes back to 2000, and I fear it may have contributed to Chris Bekker's delinquency.
I don't mind if you don't mind.

I must say we created a pretty good tabulation of data on basic external/muzzle ballistics of loads from .375 H&H to .700 Nitro Express.
