HughW's buff from Lobo
Folk,

To avoid any confusion today I added pics of Lobo camp that Hugh's buffalo was shot from. I must apologise as yesterday I stated Hugh's buffalo was 44". It is a mear 43" but what a beaut.

Regards,

Mark

That's it for me.....I don't know how Adam can expect people to rough it and suffer in a camp like this.......especially when it's obvious all the decent bulls were shot years ago. thumb

Awesome pics of the buff and camp. The buff is perfect. If it was 2" wider only you and a few visiting PHs would be able to tell it on the wall at home. About the camp: there is just nothing like roughing it on safari. Congrats! Great hunt!

Mark,
Was the Lobo camp moved or just improved? That looks like a new dining facility.

Forrest,

Adam had the entire camp moved. It is almost 5 k away from the old camp (Ridge Taylor's). It is much more secluded on a high hill overviewing the plains. Very scenic. I visited Ridge's old camp. Christina still owns it and has kept it open with a staff year around for her personal use and the use of her buddies. Boy could I get adjusted to having a friend like that! Adams new camp is great. The Masai are still down in Lobo, you can go visit, but they are not overrunning the camp like they are at the old site.

Very nice buffalo and a beautiful camp.

OK, that explains the view. I think I know exactly where the camp is now. On a hill below a rock face and cave, with a million dollar view? We were going to fly-camp there, but ended up going to Lolkisale early instead.

Hugh, congrats on your great safari and thanks for hunting with us. Was a pleasure working with you and happy to hear you enjoyed the hunt as well as our camps.

By the way we have now finalized the deal for 100% of Bundu and Krystyna is totally out, and just remains my signature when I get to Tanzania on Monday. Maybe we can save her old camp for you for your next trip?

ForrestB, You are a little far to the North as you are talking about Oldonyo Lala hill which is about an hour North of where the camp is. I do not think you would know where the camp is, as there were no other roads and we opened up our own roads to the new camp, and no one had been there before, at least in a vehicle.

I have also justed finished a nice fly camp in our very Southern boundary of Lobo on the Kilwa hill about 2 hours South of the main camp, for those who think they want to "rough" it for a couple of days.

Back to Tanzania now.

All right now that you have all of us drooling over huge buffalo, What is the total cost of a 10 day buffalo hunt in your best area?
