Charles,
These three are my first posts on these liliputians' threads. You've done worse, no? Grant me a little leeway, eh?

Charles_HelmI just think at some point the arguing is pointless, especially when it descends to the schooyard variety.
Not a comment on anyone being right or wrong.
And yes, I posted a fair amount. Why? I've seen more banning than I cared to.

Hey, pip squeak, forgot that you raised the issue responding to my post addressed to CB and all? Hmm, short term memory loss, bad symptom.

Craig Boddington,
I hope for all that things in Namibia go as well as can be, for all. Best regards and best wishes to all.
And thanks for just being Craig Boddington, you would be missed if you hadn't ended up the man and the hunter/writer/person/marine/American you are. And missed by most/all who pretend otherwise.

Charles,
I get your point. But I'm not arguing. The post above is what pip squeak jumped on. Says enough that he jumped on it doesn't it.
Anyway, its getting late and I'm hitting it, so end of exchange with pip squeak. He ain't worth more than the little time given.
Good night.

Hi Craig, Nice to see you posting, and perhaps now having weathered the storm (yet again!) you will hang around between gigs. Your contributions and suggestions would be much appreciated by 99.9% of the forum members, myself included. Regards, Bill

Another vote for Craig to hang around and post more often. We all can learn alot from his experiences.
Good Hunting,

VanderhoefMr. Boddington-
Thanks for your participation here. It's a lot like that proverbial train wreck everyone likes to look at, eh? But unfortunately in the process you and Mr. Fulson have been somewhat maligned by a petty individual who only seeks to inflate his own ego. That is a shame!!
Please keep up the good work, both of you!, and know that the overwhelming majority (probably 99.9%)of us greatly appreciate what you've all done for our sport
Thanks again guys!!

larryshoresWhile Andy was certainly entitled to his opinions, the personal attacks, name calling and suppositions which became fact was totally uncalled for. Especially for someone he did not know.
I think he enjoyed stirring the pot. Some of his prior posts, I took as jokes and his attempt at humor. This one got way out of control.
I feel bad for all those he insulted.

Use Enough GunI agree that Craig ought to post more often on here. I would also like to see Brittany share some of her experiences with us as well. And, maybe Donna too.

CrazyhorseconsultingThis is going to be a little rambling, so bear with me.
After having been on a few forums/bulletin boards, what ever a person wants to call these internet sites, there are some things that I have observed.
The main one however, and I have observed it on every forum I have been on, is jealousy.
It takes many forms and manifests itself in many ways, but it is all the same thing.
One of the aspects of AR that I like best, is that after a persons first few posts, they are classified as One Of Us.
Does not matter if they have 30 posts or 30,000 posts, everyone is listed as One Of Us.
On other sites they give out "Titles" for the level of a persons participation or number of posts.
I have seen that cause more trouble than anything else, that, and let someone join the site that is a guide/outfitter/published writer/tv-radio personality, and things really go to heck in a hurry, And It Is All Because Of Jealousy.
Yes there are guides/outfitters/writers that work really hard at their egos, and there are others that work really hard at their chosen profession, and a lot can be learned from their experiences, they are or should be an asset to a site, not a target.
Many folks however and for whatever their reason, make an extreme effort to try and show these people up in front of everyone else and point out, to what in their way of thinking, is a shortfall in the guide/outfitter/writers abilities.
All of us that hunt any length of time develope our skills and abilities to the sme level as these "experts", the difference is they have that something that enables them to be accepted, and all too often idolized by the public that the average person simply does not have.
Whether it is their writing style, on screen or on air presence, or any number of things, they are able capitalize on that to a point that allows them to work at the profession they have chosen.
It also helps, as in Craig Boddington's case, and not taking anything away from him as an individual, to have a Dave Fulson out there "Selling" Craig Boddington to the masses.
In all reality, from what I know of that business from a truly peripheral stand point, except for the actual hunting part of it, I would not trade places with ANY of those folks.
Anytime a person becomes a "Public" commodity, you lose the anonimity and you invite all the nut cases running around in the public to take pot shots at you for anything you do or say.
Stop sometime and just think how many of those "Stars" would just like to go back to having a normal life, sans the Hero Worship and the Detractors rhat don't like you simply because you are able to do what they aren't.
Hope this rant made sense.
Even the rocks don't last forever.

Outdoor WriterCraig,
Long time no see or talk. Good to see you around here.
Hope everything works out for the best for your daughter and the dog handler.

Well, maybe not ass-kissing, but definitely worth of great respect.

I have almost finished the Alan Ritchie's biography of Ruark.
He seemed like a rather tormented, unhappy fellow with no real family for most of his life and his truest friend was a bottle of gin or whiskey. If that is the price one pays to hunt and travel the globe for free, I guess I'll be staying at home.
Rather sad book all it all.

But where is all this money that has been donated to SCI going?? Perhaps to pay for the medals that the members award each other .
I congratulate DF for all his donations his example should be followed.
And one last thing, I think there should be a language sensorship on this forum.
You keep on about CB getting free hunts, others are insisting that he doesn't.
You keep on about "exposing" others, again, show us the proof, no one is going to stop you.
So unless you actually have proof, and show it to us, please stop this witch hunt.

If he didn't have so much class he would probably say something crass like "Read a little closer dumbass, I'm not simply a cameraman for CTB, I own the fucking company that produces all the stuff you hate so much "
Dave, loved it! You should get a shirt made that says just that. "Dave Fulson, Total Outdoors, I OWN THE FUCKING COMPANY ASSHOLE!"
Man this is a silly forum.
I met Boddington last year, he seemed like a really nice guy. Someone asked him if he got to go on all these hunts for free, his reply was if that was the case then he couldn't walk down the isle at Safari Club without people ducking for cover.
I know when Rigby's filed for bankruptcy Craig was listed as a debtor. So obviously not all his guns are given to him, and I doubt very much more than 5% of his hunts are, and most of those are probably gunwrite hunts for Winchester, Remington, and so on.

Timot, if you shoot a record book animal and it qualifys for an award through SCI, Rowland Ward, or Boone and Crocket you pay $50-100 US to enter it into the record book. So for awards being pushed for free to the big shot hunter that just isn't the case.
Not sure for the misconfusion or jealousy.

You damn right this is a rediculous subject. Enough said, we should get onto more important conversations like what we can do to help Ade Langleys son.
