LeopardtrackCamo back-packs allowed in Zimbabwe???
The only thing in camo I would like to take is my back-pack. I will also use it as my carry on bag for the plane ride like I did to Namibia last year.
With the restrictions for cammo, does this include accessories and packs? Thanks

T.CarrNo problem, I have seen trackers using camo backpacks in Zim. No one will care if your backpack is camo.

500grainsZim changed its camo law and now only military style camo is illegal. RealTree and stuff like that is fine.

N E 450 No2We were stopped at several Police/Military road blocks while driving from one side of Zim to the other. The trackers were wearing camo, hunting camo from Cabellas. Only once was it an issue. One official asked why all the camo, did we have our own army???
The PH told him we were on a Safari. He replied "OK you can go".

AussieMikeEarlier this month, in Zim, I noticed that short camo skirts (really quite short!) and camo jackets were popular with 16-25year old girls.
I took several ex Australian Army camo shirts and had no problems but was advised not to wear them around Harare. Omay in March/April was hot and sticky and the Australian army gear is just great in those conditions. The best bit or gear is the zip-up-the-front camo overalls which are exptremely light cotton and can be pulled on over shorts. Keep a set in your day pack and when you go into the thick stuff just take off your shirt and pull on the overalls.
