Ugh!
Different strokes I suppose. I prefer rock music. Not just because of it being in a hunting video, but it's the music I find most enjoyable. That and the fear of my IQ dropping below 3 digits when listening to too much Country Music! Actually, ANY Country Music is a risk, IMO!

MacD37Personally I couldn’t care less what kind of music anyone cares to listen to. That is totally up to them, as long as they don’t mix it with hunting where it doesn’t fit! I like some of all kinds of music, except RAP, and not all of any kind. But no matter what kind is on a film it must fit the subject matter of what is being watched.
Listening to music and doing a well done film are two distinctly different things! In a film on African hunting, the only music I want to hear, if any, is African music, and that at a very low level in the background, if at all. Instrumentals, done on purely African instruments, is, IMO, the only thing that fits, and damn little of that!
Music in films is very important but must be done with a little thought to make it fit the activity being watched on screen! The only music that serves well in an elephant hunt is a little background of
”Baby elephant walk “ or
“Down in Africa”! Even those two need to be very low and only strategically placed so as not to interfere with the activity being witnessed!

cchunterOk, here is the video, please remember now that it was made 10 years ago and has not been edited since 2003.
http://pixelwild.com/me2002.wmvMusic came to the project after I showed my father and grandfather a 30 minutes version with us driving a car and walking etc and they almost fell asleep. Of course I was a little bit angry for that and my father said I needde to make it shorter and more interesting, he had experience from the Super 8 days. So one day while driving I heard the Elvis music "little less conversation, little more action please" and decided to fit the whole trip whitin the time that was less than 3 minutes. And that is the result you see above. After that I made 2 55 minutes hunting movies with more appropriate music but that is another story :-)
And about me, at the age of 39 (spring 2008) I got diagnosed with ADHD and Asperger and from 2010 I am retired, today I do a lot of photography as you can see at
www.pixelwild.com and that work as medication for me, on the hunting side I hunt some roebucks every year and try to do at least one day at a moose hunt, but it is much less than before. Havent been to Africa since 2008 but will go there again, first of all with my camera.

MacD37Hey Christer! Glad to hear from you, it's been too long since we heard from you. Sorry to hear about your illness.
Because of this thread I went into my office and got your film "The Big Viking in Africa" and watched it again. Good film!
Stick around friend and get well, we miss you!
