The Peppermill and Atlantis are walking distance. All the hotels offer free shuttle which can suck if you leave late.Cab to downtown runs $20.00.I like the Silver Legacy or Eldorado.

With carrion men, groaning for burial.

Circus Circus, Eldorado, Silver Legacy are all connected together. CC is quite a bit cheaper and not a dump at all. If I'm there for the convention I don't need a hot tub in my room etc. Earlier this year there were some specials at the Atlantis so I booked there for this year. Go on line and check things out.

Mark

A lot of the exhibitors stay at the Atlantis and it fills up early. I got our rooms there a month ago.

I have already booked at the "Atlantis", they said it is next door to the SCI location. I understand the daily cost to go on the exhibit floor is more than other places, if anyone has that information I would be interested. Good shooting.

I usually stay at the Silver Legacy which also hosts the Bladesmith show and the Gunsmith and Engravers show at about the same time as the SCI Convention.

The Atlantis also has a good sushi bar though ($19.95 all you can eat). Wink

phurley,

SCI hasn't released the registration info yet this year. It is later than usual. Having been an exhibitor for the last 20 years, I've never paid the daily rate. Seems like it's around $75 per day and you have to have a membership number.

I booked in the Altantis this year, they had a great deal going on earlier this year. I do agree, the other hotels do have the shuttle service but a few times I left late ended up getting a taxi, tell you what, do that a few times, starts to get expensive! The Altantis is right next door to the convention

Sounds like alot of AR members will be staying there, what you say we get together for a drink or two!!!

Last year it was $100/day, $175 for 2-day pass, and I believe $300 for all 4 days. Have to have your membership also. That is a little too spendy for lots of folks, but it truly is a show which has to be seen at least once. If you are looking for a hunt, you will more than save the show cost on your booking savings and probably airfare also.

My buddy Wayne and I will also be staying at the Atlantis this year. Shuttles are fine, but walking distance is better.
