"Battle for the Elephants explores the brutal slaughter of African elephants for their tusks, fueled largely by China’s demand for ivory..."

As educational as the programme might be the slaughter of elephants will not be attributed only to the ever growing presence of China in Africa.
Rest assured the plight of the elephant will also affect legal hunters - society has a habit of using a very wide brush when it comes to wildlife conservation.

Good show. Watched it. So do you really think the ivory sell offs are fueling ivory sales? I tend to have my doubts.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Agree with you Brett - would not make any difference - Kenya has proved it!
