SpringTusker
I'm sitting here enjoying a nice cold
Tusker Lager and enjoying the memories of that same beer after a long day of hunting in the Selous. Finding a few cases of Tusker here in Georgia was easy, but that has me wondering if there's also a way to get
Kilimanjaro Lager from Tanzanian Breweries. Have you ever seen it distributed in the US?

JudgeGWhere did you get the Tusker? I will be at your house at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow for a couple and maybe a steak on the grill.
Seriously, is there a distributer in Georgia?
Have truck, will drive!
BTW, Emmy (the one at UGA) is hitting me up for a buffalo hunt in Zim next year.
Tell the family I said hello!
And I like Ndovo the best of the Tanzanian beers but will do a local search for the others!
JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

SpringJudge, I wish you were here sipping on something with me on this last cool night of the season. You may just have to come chase some turkeys around with me rather than wait on deer season.
As for getting Tusker, the distributor in Georgia is just a bit north of you in Savannah. In fact, here's
their list of US distributors. You can call the one that's nearest you and they'll tell you the store in your area they work with. They'll then get some delivered to your nearby spot. I picked up 3 cases here in town just yesterday.
It's always nice to get a good taste of Africa here at home!

Just remember those are distributors (wholesalers) and they usually cover large portions of states. In Georgia, for example, the one distributor in Savannah works with every significant city around the state, so you'd be buying locally from a store that orders your Tusker from that wholesaler. You just need to contact the distributor and find out which store in your area he supplies.

BrettAKSCIBeers Of The World in Rochester, NY sells Tusker FYI. I haven't seen Kilimanjaro anywhere this side of the pond. Let me know if you find some.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

shakariThis really goes to prove there's no justice in this world!!! You guys can buy east African beers in the US, but we can't buy them in South Africa! Eish!

ozhunterAhh.. Tusker Beer.
Sitting at J.A. Hunter's Lodge, Kenya drinking Tusker's with a lovely Swedish Lass.

David HulmeJeez Oz, there's much more to you than I thought....You are into all forms of the hunt eh? Shouldn't you have posted your picture on the European hunting forum though? Okay, I get it - you were hunting exotic game in Africa! In that case, it must have been a canned hunt

shakariDave,
Don't be silly. I can distinctly see that beer is in bottles and not cans.

50 CalshtrJudge G et all.
Tusker is in Savannah at the Beverage Warehouse on Abercorn St. just west of the old mall across the street from Books a million and next to the men's warehouse. They have it in single bottles and what appeared to be 12 packs. The clerk says they sell a fair amount of it and keep it in stock. I can get more details or give better directions if anyone wants.
