Agreed. I'm passing on going to Reno in '13. Just not a big fan..
May go to DSC or just take a break from the conventions for the year.

bcolyerI cannot take a break..........I need to book another Elephant hunt! Pretty sure I will book for 2015.
So - what does that buy me.
1. Time: time to put the $$$ together.
2. Motivation: to KEEP in shape for another 3 years.
3. Anticipation: PRICELESS !!!!!!!!!!!!

Two of the next three years in Reno. Thank God!
Sorry, Mark. Just hate Vegas-love Reno.

Larry SellersI'll see Mark in either place, but agree Las Vegas sucks big time. Just an awful place to be outside the "Convention" venue. The "Bay" was OK, didn't really like the two level thing and room, food and drink prices were outrageous in Vegas. I save about $50.00 on flying prices to Vegas as opposed to Reno, but spend at least $400.00 more on the room, food and drink in Vegas.

Tim FerrallI heard a lot of complaining from the old-timers about their difficulty in negotiating the distance from parking to the event floor in Vegas. Saw a lot of folk in scooters that are usually walking. Also a lot of complaining about the two-level layout. Cheaper airfares and (potentially, better weather are about the only advantages Vegas has.

tx308with dallas in my backyard, i dont know if i will ever go to one of these shows. Ive never been to vegas, so for me it would be more appealing. Id like to go once just to say i did.

FOsteologyLas Vegas from my perspective is more convenient. Much easier to get the wife and/or daughter to tag along as there's plenty to see and do aside from the Convention.

JBoutfishnWith Reno being less that 3 hours through Susanville, traveling there is never an issue. Not to mention being easier on the wallet.

BlankIt is 10 hours, 600 miles to Reno. Same to Las Vegas. Girls like the things to do Vegas, guys get to spend money in Reno by themselves.
What a conundrum! Guess where we book our hunts?
