Interesting that no one here has mentioned the Houston Safari Club show this weekend? First time at the GRB, I thought it was the best, biggest show they have ever done, thoughts?

I had no agenda and was dealing with my dad's passing. Otherwise, the GRB would have been outstanding for me. Rather than going to visit my taxidermist at the WOODLANDS or all the way to DSC, that is. Blaauwkrantz Safaris didn't get enough Houston business to warrant the show, as opposed to Salt Lake, SCI and DSC shows arranged to maximize travel and booking efforts. Seeing the Rudmans and my old outfitter Greg R used to make the year go by quicker when they came to HSC. I miss that! (And Greg Rodriguez' 2013 passing will always hurt.) Word!

Is your reference to Blaauwkrantz lack of bookings from this year or did they not get enough bookings in the past so did not attend this year?

Going on five years now, I'd say. They divvy the job up between shows and family members to cover it all. They are big in Spain, Denmark and other places outside of US shows. Francois is married into a big Mexico City family and that also works in favor of travel away from Houston. I'm getting ready to talk on their US phone to them at the Las Vegas show where Arthur, Trinette and Zani man the floor. Booking direct now since we know them already.

I thought it was great. The new venue will give HSC the opportunity to take off.
