Game Ranger in Kruger National Park shot
It was reported in the press in South Africa yesterday that a Kruger National Park ranger, Andrew Desmet of the Letaba section of the park, was seriously injured during the course of a shootout with poachers near the Letaba Rest Camp on Friday evening.
To make matters even worse, it is being investigated whether he may have been shot by an accompanying SANDF soldier and not the poachers... Getting shot with military 5,56 at short range is certainly no fun at all.
Whatever the facts, Andrew is in serious condition in the hospital in Nelspruit with a ruptured diaphragm and a whole host of other serious injuries.

boarkillerIt's unfortunate, but that is a life of any armed forces members. Risk is part of daily life.
Hopefully he"ll recover soon.
Good luck out there in bush and no quarter given to any poacher. They ruin it for everyone, even the non hunting, anti gun community.
When the people in all the governments get it?
