stevieRSA firearm problem
I just received an e-mail from our travel agent stating that in addition to all of the other forms etc., we will also need a letter from our outfitter detailing our hunt in order to get a temporary firearm permit in RSA. We will be hunting in Zim and are LEAVING IN 6 DAYS. We don't have any such letter and I don't know how we could get one that quickly.
Is it true that we need this letter? I would appreciate a response from anybody who has recently been through the permiting process in RSA.
Stevie,
I sent you a private e-mail

Russ GouldAll you need to provide is the PH's name, address and phone number. Preferably on a booking confirmation or letter from him, but hell, I've used an email printout. Your name should be on the piece of paper somewhere.
And you don't need all that crap if you are not going to stop over in RSA (ie not obtain a firearms permit in SA). Sounds like you are going to Zim.
Worst comes to worst, put the word processor to good use.
