I thought you all would like to know today (July 22) is Harry Selby's 90th birthday. His daughter Gail put together a video tribute and I thought I would share it for all of you to enjoy. There are some familiar pictures, and also some really great never-before-seen ones as well. Please feel free to forward the link to anyone you feel might enjoy spending a few moments honoring a living legend. Keep in mind as you watch that Harry wasn't only a PH. He was (and still is) a husband, a father, a friend, and a mentor to many people. Along with the hunting, I also like to think about the other people whose lives he touched, and continues to touch - mine included. So sit back and enjoy Gail's video. If you've got a cold one handy, raise a toast to a fine, fine gentleman.

My one experience with him found him to be quite the gentleman.
6 or 8 years ago, when Gail first posted here, I reached out and asked her if he would sign my copy of Horn of the Hunter. He graciously agreed and my copy went halfway round the world and came back immeasurably more valuable.
It remains one of of my most prized African 'trophies'!

I am now forwarding this to our mutual friend Chris....who is presently working. I know this will raise his spirits!!
GAIL, job well done and thank you for your CREATIVITY and "sharing Dad with us"....wish we could have hunted with him too!!
