Having a good time reading the african topics so I decided to open a new bottle of Amarula..

Well now, that is a great idea. I have just cracked open a chilled bottle of New Zealand white wine and in the process of downing the contents, and there is a nice fillet of RED STAG on the cooker,
I might finish the meal with some nice ice cream and a drop of (KWV) Van der Hum liquor which I brought back home with me from my last trip to SA
What a bloody tough life over here hanging upside down in the ANTIPODES ..
OHHHH, I forget to metion I have some beautiful locally farmed (green lipped) mussles to go with the liquor

Tried to buy some resupplies of Amarula this week and the importer now restricts supplies only to their in-house liquor chain. So no Amarula till I get to the city.
Did have a nice plate full of one year old fallow stag chops fried in olive oil in a pasta sauce with mushrooms, with whipped potatoes and steamed vegetables.
Accompanied by a nice red. Local of course.

scruffy7:08 a.m. here in the Great White North .... maybe I'll put some Amarula in a cup of coffee ... that should go good with a couple of eggs and toast ... or anything else, now that I think about it !!
