SaeedAnyone knows what caliber it is and what case is used?
Looking at that video and the ammo they showed I am a bit skeptical.

Todd WilliamsDoes this video just come around again and again every couple of months on FaceBook or something. It's been posted here on AR at least 30 or more times in the short amount of time I've been on this site. Now here it is again!
And just to put a finer point on it, here it is AGAIN just today:
http://forums.accuratereloadin...4711043/m/3501013191I'm sure it will be posted here on AR in various places at least 3 or 4 more times, this time around again.
At least Santana is getting his song out there over and over!

And here:
http://forums.accuratereloadin...111099071#4111099071And here again but it was removed after George spoke up about it:
http://forums.accuratereloadin...021061571#6021061571And a few more if anyone cares to look them up!!

ManuelM.950 JDJ 3600 grains at 2200 fps, parent case is the 20x102mm vulcan

Saeed
Here it is.
We thought a 45mm caliber would be just right.
For comparison, next to it is a 30mm aircraft round, then a 700 Nitro Express, 408 Chey Tac, 375 H&H and a 223 Remington.
Any volunteers to be the very first man to shoot it?

03 August 2013, 10:36
shakariI'll be the first to politely decline!
Thanks for the offer though!

That's gonna some BEAST!

We have named it the 1.780 Tornado Express.

Shooting that might change some opinions about muzzle breaks! What does that thing use, a whole can of powder per cartridge?
04 August 2013, 01:43
snowhoundActually that may be the next step, to copy artillery. Ram in the bullet, insert a can of powder. Close the breech and insert a .308 blank round as a primer.
04 August 2013, 08:25
AilsaWheelsI will also politely decline to shoot....but.....will love to see the video of it being fired for the first time!

SaeedIf anyone is interested in helping, we would like to work out the ballistics of this little baby.
Here are the approximate measurements.
Case length = 9.375"
Diameter at base = 2.439"
Diameter below shoulder = 2.430"
Neck length = 1.855"
Outside neck diameter = 2.844"
Case thickness at neck = 0.100"
Bullet diameter = 1.743"
Bullet length = 5.000"
Inquiries are being made on a barrel and action

jdollarinteresting that it is a breech loader and you have to close the breech SLOOOWLY.
