A RHINO that escaped from the Etosha National Park and was seen at Onanke village in the Oshikoto Region has been shot and killed by Nature Conservation officials.
Oshana Police Commissioner Ndahangewapo Kashihakumwa said the rhino was one of two that escaped from the park last month.
He said it was 'terrorising' people in and around Onanke village on Monday morning.
The rhino allegedly damaged an ambulance at Onanke Clinic and started chasing people.
Onanke villagers are also complaining about lions in the vicinity of the village.
