Hello: I'm just wondering if anybody has added a day or two in zanzibar to relax after a tanzania safari?
has anybody ever fished there?
is it safe?
how about Dar es saalem?
thanks

I personally have not been. However last year, the apprentice PH from TZ in camp last year said it was a fantastic place to go and highly recommended I try it on my next trip.

I have not been there yet but will be July 13 of this year. Hope to get to Old Stone Town and take pictures of the the massive doors.

I am doing it before the safari as a way to rest and adapt to the flight and time change.

When do you plan to go notlim?

ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Zanzibar is well worth a visit. Stone Town is interesting and the people are very friendly. I haven't fished there but have dived and I would guess the fishing is pretty good.

I have been to Zanzabar twice and would recommend one day at Zanzabar Stone town and two days at the lodges up the northern tip of the island {Ras Nungwe} as a good option.
