After taking an elephant in Ngamo Sikumi last December, I started the process to find assistance with the importation of the tusks. I was aware of the great work Conservation Force has done, but while I was in Zimbabwe another company, Adventure Permits International, was discussed and also highly recommended. Paperwork was submitted to Adventure Permits on January 28, and USFS issued the permit on April 11 (just a little over 10 weeks). The entire process with them was very seamless, favorably priced, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. In addition, it’s great to see that the governmental permitting procedure has vastly improved from what it had previously been.
