I've never hunted one in the water, but it seems like it isn't quite as simple as walk up to the water's edge and shoot as many make it out to be. We did find one in a small pan, all by himself, but all he'd ever show us was his nostrils.

I have taken one on land, and the way we did it was to check small pans, and the banks of the zambezi to try to find them resting on the banks. Eventually we were able to stalk a pod napping on the banks, then we had to pick out a male. Got him after a not so good 1st shot and a charge.
