LeopardtrackLeopard hunting with Electronic game caller??
I will be hunting in north-western Namibia this June for leopard and p-game. The leopards will be baited, however, I was wondering if an electronic caller would work in addition to the bait. I have a remote caller which I would put at the bait tree, and then operate it with the remote from the blind. It is digital, and I will buy a fawn or goat distress sound card for the cat. What do you all think? I have called in many predators with it, why would the leopard be any different? What are your thoughts?

HuntertaxiIt's against the law.
And whilst on the subject check out what the regulations are regarding leopard hunting.

LeopardtrackThanks, I didn't know that it is illegal. That said, however, how effective do you think it would be for the leopard?? Too bad, since I wanted to also try it out at night for jackels etc..

hhmagWe tried the electric call once and it did not work at all. For three nights the leopard walked all around the bait site we were on, but wouldn't come in. The client said he had luck with Johnny Stewart calls on mountain lion, so we gave it a try. Never saw the leopard at that baitsite again. We got him three days later at another site.
