The magazines of the AR 15 are the same for Galil or the Sud African version: LM 4, in .223 cal.? Thanks in advance. Hector

On the Galil the magazine is very similar to an AR 15 magazine but the lock up or you can call it the magazine catch is different. Here's a website that sells an adapter for the Galil so it can use M16/AR15 magazines.

From looking at the pictures of the LM4 it appears to have the same magazine catch as the Galil so I'd venture a guess that the M16/AR15 magazine won't work.

There is an adapter that allows you to use AR mags in a Galil.

Best to look for the steel adapter that may be marked UA in a circle. It fits real receivers and does work properly.

Lots of reports on the aftermarket adapters not working well.
