RustyFN PS90
Got to shoot one of these at the range Saturday. Lots of fun, very little recoil and accurate.

arkypeteSure won't compete for my affections against something in walnut and blued steel.
Is this 5.56?

390ishI have one with the green stock. It is rough on groundhogs inside 100 yards.

mstarlingIs the 5.7mm caliber semi auto version of the FN P90 submachine gun.
Rusty ... how does it balance with the longer barrel (than the SMG)? Is often a problem with "civilian" versions of military weapons.
Thanks,

crbutlerI bought one of the PS 90's. It is a lot of fun, although not the most accurate piece I have ever shot.
I also handled a P90 at the DPMS Trigun a few years back, and the P90 is lighter and seemed a little faster to handle, to me it seemed a little light weight up front. We were not able to shoot the full auto version, but got to look at it pretty well. The FN guys said its virtually no recoil, and given what the PS90 does, I would buy that, but probably has a bit more muzzle climb that a PS90 would if you could convert it to full auto.
The trigger is perfectly acceptable for what it is (last ditch defense weapon to replace a pistol for rear echelon troops) but trying to use it as a varmint round- well, lets say it isn't going to stretch the legs of the 5.7x28.
I will also say that the safety takes some getting used to. Its not in a "natural" position for me, and I have forgotten to put it back on at times, which when I later notice it, gives me the willies, but as a range gun I have had no problems with it.
All in all, a couple grand worth of toy.
