GAHUNTERYugo M76 sniper rifle?
I'm intrigued by this rifle, simply because I'm a huge fan of the 8mm Mauser caliber (more so
than I am of the 7.62x54R in the Dragunov.)
However I've heard that the ammo the Yugoslavians used in this rifle is loaded down from the normal European 7.92x57 ammo (198-grain bullet at 2350 fps, vs 196-grain bullet at 2600 fps.)
J&G has the Century-built model on sale right now for $999.
Anyone here have any experience with these rifles?

MopaneMikeSorry.. I don't.. But I imagine they were using light Ball.. Just shot some WWII German light ball this weekend from my K98.
The 198 heavy ball was actually Machinegun ammo
German G43 also used light ball.
I put it thru the chrono.
154FMJ
Vel= 2900fps avg.
Extrem Spread was only 12fps

GAHUNTERNope. It's heavy ball. It was specially designed and loaded for this rifle, with the designation M75 Sniper ammo.
