FjoldHaving a lot of fun with the AR15s
I never had much use for the AR 15 platform rifles because of the 223 cartridge limitations but with all the cartridges now available I'm really enjoying them.
I've bought 6mm ARC and 350 Legend upper receivers recently and am having fun working up loads for them. I converted Wifezilla from deer hunting with the 223 and now she's using a 6mm ARC with 85 grain partitions. I'm using the ARC with 95 grain Berger hunting VLDs for my dedicated night hunting rig for coyotes.
I also like the right side charging uppers which work great for scoped rifles, especially for us left handed shooters.
This is Wifezilla's 6mm ARC

p dog shooterThey are the tinker toys of the rifle world here in the USA.
A federal judge in OHIO ruled that the lower does not meet the definition of a receiver.
The government then dropped the case. Not wanting it to go farther.
What fun could we have if they didn't have to go through FFL's

dpcdBarbie Dolls for Men; I have zero use for them.
Why do I have 11 of them? They are fun in 450 Bush and 458 Socom; useless in 223.
I also have the first modern ArmaLite AR-10 produced.
And I have one that I made into a flat top, before they were on the market. Custom heavy barrel with custom gas system that I made. Prairie dogs; I could get the whole family before them went down.
You don't need no FFL; anyone can make one from an 80% frame. Or make 100.

FjoldI have a DPMS LR308 with uppers in 260 and 308 and I'm thinking of getting another AR15 in 450 Bushmaster, just because.

Exactly you just made the point for having them.
