fla3006Gun Show Report
I attended the George Brown Houston show this morning. Line was down the street when I arrived 30 minutes before it opened. Huge crowds at the magazine, ammo and black rifle tables. Guys selling mainly sporting rifles, shotguns and collector pieces weren't very busy. Pistols were going fast as usual. The guy selling bulk 223 ammo ran out in an hour and AK was selling fast when I left. Prices overall were still reasonable, probably because supply still seems to be fairly good, in fact I saw several very good deals on various semi-autos. But there was definitely the feeling that this won't last and you better get 'em while you can.

jimatcati was at collector's firearms instead of the gunshow... 1 guy bought 8 black rifles while i was there, didn't pay that much attention , just watched them carrying stuff out to his car...definitely a feeding frenzy going on...i picked up a nice win m70 in 22-250, a carbine, haven't seen 1 of those before, for $650...

mjktenDrove by the gun show today in Columbia, the place was mobbed. Went to shoot at a local range, the gun counters were several people deep. I was glad I only had to pay for range time on my way out. I think the average man has a pretty good idea what might be coming from a socialist president with a liberal controlled congress.
