chuck37550 Beowolf
Anyone have one? Opinions on Alexander Arms?
I have shot factory loads in the 50 bw.they It was a lot hotter than my 458 socom. I think the 458 socom is easier to load for. You can find 250gr up to 500gr bullets. Most 45-70 bullets will work

458WinThe 500 Beowolf is basically a modern 50-90 , which is not bad.

doubledownChuck, the 50 Beowulf might be my favorite rifle, I've had mine for years. It hits like a truck, is very accurate, reliable and easy to shoot. If you don't load them down with "tactical stuff" they are pretty light.
You can load bullets from 275-500 grains that's 2200fps-1600fps My personal preference is 350 grain @2000fps it puts hogs to sleep yet gives you enough velocity to make 200 yard shots without a ton of holdover.
I am not a huge AR guy, but this caliber has made me one. You will be very happy with it. Just remember to buy the Beowulf mags with the rifle. They are Identical in every way to the 5.56 mags except the feed lips are a little shorter to allow the fat 50 to angle up more for proper feeding, which it does flawlessly. The 30 round 5.56 AR mag holds 10 50 Beowulf rounds.
I have a 1x4 NF on top of mine and it does an awesome job.

RedninerI've owned a .50 Beowulf AR for nearly 11 years. It is a super caliber, and I used it on a cow buffalo shoot in New Mexico some years ago. It was made by Rock River for Alexander Arms, and I've had no problems with it whatsoever.
