Captain FinlanderFound old rifle?
I was gun shopping today and stumbled across this gem. It is a Peterson Custom rifle in 270 win. Supposedly Peterson was a sister company of Mossberg back in the day and produced some very fine guns but I can't find any information supporting any of this. Help Please?

dpcdYep, I remember them like it was last week; early 1970s; they were a custom version of the Mossberg 810 bolt actions. I doubt if they are worth much more now than a similar Mossberg. Back then, the only reason to get a Mossberg was that they were cheap; (they were $150-200 guns, and the Pedersons were $550-800, made in 3 grades) no one wanted a fancy one.

idabullResearch effort might be more productive if the correct company name is used. (Pedersen)..Idabull

BiebsSimilar marketing concept to Honda vs Acura, Toyota vs Lexus. Mossberg attempted a more upscale line under the Pederson name.
