The Hensoldt is a Carl Zeiss scope. You have an excellent Rifle/caliber and scope. Hensoldt is normally the military division of Zeiss. Show some picks man. JP

Edit: BTW, I love '96 and '98 action European rifles. My 1943 9.3x57 Swede is going hunting Sunday.

AkshooterWould sure help to see some photo's. Could maybe give a little more info.
Hensoldt was an independent company up untill the 60s or a little later. They had a very good product line wich Zeiss was envious of so they bought the company and and produced the Hensold design as the zeiss Z series.
Zeiss retained the hensoldt name and but marketed Hensoldt as a military contract scope. The only ones I've seen were produced for the H&K 91 and were a fixed 4x that came with a stanag (spelling?) mount.
