WinkRe: Colt Gold Cup Series 70
The series 70 doesn't have: the trigger bar lever, the firing pin lock plunger, the firing pin lock plunger spring nor the firing pin plunger lever. That is, if my memory is correct. Most gunsmiths will tell you that it is easier to refine the trigger pull on a Series 70 because it doesn't have these "safety enhancing" parts. I don't know what the value is.

StonecreekThanks for the anatomy lesson, Wink. And thanks for the prices, 475guy. It's about as red as cherries come, and if it had the box would virtually pass as new. I went ahead and bought it, and if your prices are in the right range, I'm not hurt.
Any suggestions on care and feeding? I've been told that the springs aren't as heavy as in the Government models and clones so a diet of full-power ammunition is detrimental. Is this accurate?
