MONEY IS NO OBJECT!!
If you could have a custom set of 3 - 5 bolt action rifles built in any calibers what would you have built, and who would you have build them? I would also be interested in know the "why" behind your answer.

LoonieI would prob have:
Kimber 22lr -- classy little rifle and everyone needs a 22.
300 WM and a 375 H&H -- built on Ruger MK II ( just to pizz the purist;s off who thing only a M70 or M98 should be custom) with mortgage priced wood. As to builder - any good one will do.
Maybe also a nice little 7x57mm done on a M70 with suburb wood also. But I could be served by the 22lr, 300 WM and the 375.
Should I want a varmint rifle -- prob a nice little 22-250 built on a Ruger action with Krieger barrel and nice wood. Again to piss off the purists.

Strut10.22 lr on a Kimber or Ruger action
then on 70 Classic actions:
.220 Swift for vermin
.6mm-06 or .240 Wby. for most medium game
7-STW or .300 Wby for bigger, farther stuff
.375 Wby for everything else.....I'll never see Africa.
I'd have one of two local W. PA smiths build them.........

safari1. .300 WBY Legend by D'Arcy Echols on a M70
2. .450 Dakota by Roger Biesen on Dakota's action
3. .500 Nitro Express Double by Purdey
I believe that the most useful rifle for 95% of hunting can be done with a good .300 Magnum. The .450 and .500NE will handle all the rest. The makers speak for themselves.
