Came across an old bullet mold that at first looked like an old Winchester. The only markings on the mold are on the steel handle "38 E L". Doing a little reasearch I discovered that Ballard offered their No.2 rifle in both rimfire and the center fire configureation of the 38 Extra Long Ballard chambering. Although the mold does not have any WInchester marking on it it is a dead ringer of a Winchester bullet mold. I'd like to know if Winchester made the mold for Ballard, or was there a mold maker that may have contracted for both Ballard and Winchester. I would like hear for anyone that may know something about this. I believe that this is not a common mold.
