Grizzly AdamsRe: Parker Hale Question
Hello;
I used to have one in 30/06 and didn't have anything to complain about. I believe they were built on the spanish Santa Barbara version of the 98 Mauser action. I owned one because they were relatively cheap. Parker Hale also did "deluxe" conversions of #4 Lee Enfields with that gold plated trigger and somewhat garish looking stocks. I could have bought one of those at Haines auction for $110.but thought $100. too much.

Bad Ass WallaceGriz is right; the action is Spanish made modern mauser and the gold trigger was fitted to the ParkerHale Model 1200 delux. Here's a site that describes the various P?H models

Autumn PulseA friend of mine has an opportunity to purchase a Parker Hale 7mm. He doesn't know much about them, and neither do I , but he asked me to find out, because he knows that I frequent these types of websights.
The facts that he does know about the gun are:
It is a Parker Hale in a 7mm caliber
It is over 20 years old
It has a gold plated trigger
It has an English Crest on the Barrel
Please excuse the ignorance, but can anyone tell me anything about this gun? Is it a collector's item or worth alot of money. My friend has the opportunity to buy the gun at what sounds like a fair price, but don't know for sure, becuase we don't know if this type of gun or brand is a good field gun or something that goes into a collection set.
Any info on Parker Hale's would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Autumn Pulse
