hello,

has anybody own a mint 1890 22 rifle , if you have could you show me a picture as i am going to buy one which the person says it is mint so if somebody can show me to compare.

There is one on Cabela's that is very nice:

Pick on their Gun Library and do a Search for Winchester Model 90. As you may know, the rarest of the calibers in Model 90's is the 22 LR and the $4500 asking price reflects that.
I have NOT seen a MINT Model 90 in many years and would be very careful. I have seen many that have been refinished.

Something is simply not right about that Cabelas gun. Where did that serial number come from?

I would suggest you contact this collector and chat with him about a "mint" 90.

I agree.

Serial # range on the 1890's was 1-849000, production 1890-1932. I kinda doubt that Winchester would have made a "special run" of 1890's during the Depression. It also looks like there has been refinishing done to parts other than just the forend.
