N E 450 No2First Bow and Arrow deer
Gentlemen, thanks for all the info.
I finally got done with moving and went to the deer lease last week.
I was using my Mathews DXT set at @62lbs, 28.5" draw with Carbon Axis 400 arrows with a 100gr Mangus Stinger Buzzcut 4 blade broadhead.
One morning I shot a doe at 25 yards. I hit her a few inches behind the shoulder going through the liver. The broadhead cut a rib in half on the way in and out, giving compleat penetration. She ran @ 60 yards.
I test fired the arrow at lunch and it still flew perfect. I then resharpened the broad head.
That same evening I shot an 8 point buck, at 26 yards with the same arrow and broadhead.
I hit him behind the shoulder above the heart.
The arrow on entry cut a rib into and exited through the flat shoulder bone on the opposite side. He ran 64 yards.
These are my first 2 bow kills of deer sized game and I was impressed with the internal damage caused by the broadhead.

Big-EdTwo in one day! Good shooting!
Mathews makes it seem easy, doesn't it?
I'll bet rifle hunting gets a little boring from now on...
