Tell me about my bow
Hello all.

I just got my bow fixed. Last time I picked it up was about 5 years ago. I pulled back on the string, then BAM, everything let go. I then lost track of it for a while. Finally got around to it again. Turns out the cables broke. So anyway it's working once again.
I have a Martin Cougar magnum, 29-30" draw, 45-60 pounds. Set at 60 right now. Wooden limbs, plastic handle.
I set up a small range in my basement, and at approx 10 yards I was able to put 4 arrows right on top of each other.
I was hoping to be able to use this bow for hunting, what do you think? I have a feeling that I have a lot to learn.

Thanks

Its not the tools that makes a craftsman, but how he uses the tools he has...........kinda "deep" aint it?
What I mean is if the bow fits you, and you hit where you aim its a winner! Every archery has his limits no matter what bow he shoots, so like the other post said, practice, set your limits and have a ball!!
Good luck!

If the Bow fits you good it will do fine for hunting. Practice every chance you get. My bow is set on 60# pounds and it does a fine job.
Wish you luck. [Wink]

I hunt with the most current equipment avialable my hunting buddy has not changed since I have known him. His bow easily 14 yr old kills a bull elk, black tail and turkey every year. Its the hunter not the bow if you practice and tune it well you will have a great time with it. I hope you have fun that the most important last year I had one of the best hunts of my life and I didnt kill one elk but man I had fun. Good luck.
