Target/3D bow is a '07 Bowtech Commander 60# same draw. Spot Hogg Whammy rest and a Hogg-It hunter 7 pin. Arrows are 4" feathered Easton lightspeed 500's.

My go-to bow is a 60" Kim Sha Archery Chesapeak Recurve, 50@29. No sites. No stabalizer. No release aid (unless my shooting glove counts Wink ) using a B50 dacron string and shooting 30" XX75 and XX78 2016s with 125gr 3-Blade Muzzy's off the shelf.

It's one of five of Tom Parson's bows I have, but definitely my favorite one.

I recently started achery hunting and agter months agonzing over the type of bow to use I went with a martin Cheetah. IMHO just as good as a Mathews, but for half the price and my cheetah seems easier to adjust (draw length and weight.)

I have three bows that get used, all three are set up identical so if one goes down, I have a readily available backup.

I have a Forge Woodsman (32" axle-axle), 70 lb. draw, equipped with an HHA range adjustable sight, Trophy Taker stabilizer, Quality Archery Designs Pro HD dropaway rest. I shoot Forge Arrows, stabilized by StarrFlight FOB's. Slick Trick Magnum 100 broadheads and a TruFire Classic Caliper release complete the list.

The other bow is a Forge Woodsman XL, (34" axle-axle), also set at 70 pounds, everything else is the same.

The last one is a Forge prototype bow built for me to use when I return to Africa. The draw weight goes over 80 pounds.

I've been using a PSE Nova and Carbon Express CX300s for 13 years now. Chrono'd @ 264 last summer. Killed a bunch of whitetails and a couple elk with it. Needed a new string and cable this year,so, instead I picked up a Redhead Kryptic at BPS's outlet store for $300. Yesterday I stuck my WB rest on it and it chrono'd @297. May not be the best around, but, man what a difference from that old PSE.

My dad told me once that if you're gonna kill a rattler with a chainsaw, use the top of the bar.

I'm shooting a 2007 Bowtech Tribute at 67lbs, Axis FMJ 340's at 28.75", Fusion Vanes (helical), Slick Trick 125's, Sword Acu-site Apex Hunter, Whisker Biscuit.

Hoping to get serious about bow hunting again this next season. I should have a mule deer tag and maybe a cow elk tag as well.

Don
