KedronDrop away rest question.
I have a quick tune drop away rest that seems to work great as far as groups go but periodically it seems to spring the arrow up and out of the rest when I draw. It seems to be mostly when I draw quickly but sometimes it does it when I conscientiously am trying to draw it back slow and smooth. Is this an adjustment issue or just a quirk with the rest itself? Any advice would be appreciated.
Sounds like a quirk with the rest... I'd have soomeone look at it. It may be a quirk with your rest, or a flaw with the design overall. Have a pro look it over and see if it can be fixed or needs replaced.

Are you using a D loop on your string?
The reason I ask is, if you are and there is not enough room between your knots, you may be "pinching" the nock.
When the nock is pinched it has a tendency to do just what is happening here.
A way to check, take your tip out and draw back. If the arrow lifts, you got nock pinch.

KedronYes, I am using a D loop and I think you may be onto something. I have noticed some abnormal upward torque coming from the string. I will test this tomorrow and I think you might be onto it.

Arrow SlingerHad a similar problem with my Trophy Taker and at first thought it was the rest -- turned out to be that my line attaching to the bus cable was just a hair too short. Extended about 1/8 - 1/4 inch, and it now works just fine.
