The PH I'll be hunting with next has been hinting that he would like to start bowhunting. I was thinking that it would make a nice gift if I brought a package from the States. Not having picked up a bow since they started putting those round things at the tip of the bow I really don't know what bow to get and what arrows, accessories, etc. would be needed to hunt plains game.

I want to keep the cost of the whole package to less than US$ 650.00. Any recommendations?

I'd buy a used Mathews.

For a good new bow that will be less than your budget, a Pearson Z34 would be a good bow.
