HuntertaxiRemovable blinds or fixed
What is the preference among the bow hunters? To have fixed blinds with fixed benches (seats) or to have removable blinds that one set up in trees. I am talking along the lines of African animals.
On the topic of fixed blinds do you prefer loose chairs or fixed benches at the back of the blind?

Boss KongoniI liked the pit blinds AFTER I got used to the shot angle. Very few of us in North America shoot "up".
I'd prefer a chair/stool that I could position as I need vs. a fixed bench. I hunt with a recuve that is 62" long so I need more space that compound bowhunters that shoot bows 1/2 as long.
I think more inportant is the flooring, sand is very quiet. I've used a old wool blanket and removed my boots to remain quiet in a blind with a wood floor.

Boss KongoniMost of us hunt from the trees, so we are used to that angle. We wear srafty harness that we attach above our head to the tree. I hunted one day from a mopane. There was no trunk or branches above me!....The tree 'platform" was nested in the tops of the spreading braches(most N. American tree we hunt from have a central trunk) It took me a while to settle in and relax in that stand.
This stand is a bit more elaberate than the standard ones used here. It would be more comfortable for a long hunt. We usually add some brush attached to the stand floor to break-up our profile.
