Thanks Bill, maybe we could do some trading for some obsidian or dogwood shafts for some of my rivercane. I send my rivercane all over the country for guys on the TradGang and Leatherwall. I get mountain maple from a guy in Moscow Idaho. It is pure white and very clean grain and back. It is not even close to vine maple with the warts and all the character. I have several vine maple staves now and just can't get excited about starting a bow with them.
Mainly Osage.
What is the paleoplanet? Never heard of it. I have many osage bows or other wood selfbows and photos and of rivercane arrows with flint points and turkey feathers.
