The deer was shot near Buffalo NY during archery season by a young man that tagged it with a gun(shotgun) tag. He was caught and yes, the picture is at a local hatchery. The guy is just poising witht he deer. It is to be mounted and kept at the Region 9 headquarters of the DEC.

Sad, another poacher knocks one down that could have been a trophy for someone else.
