I never have for hunting, I shoot a longbow, but for playing around in the backyard you can tape a pin to your bow and see how you like it. Even a piece of tape with some aiming points on it can give you an idea of how you might like it. I have found that there is a certain distance were you arrow really starts to arc, if you keep your shoots closer than that distance (say 20 yards) you do not have to compensate much and your brain does a good job of aiming for you.

Hi,
I use a SRF sight on my recurves.
It is a "instinctive sight" and you can get it ar 3rivers.
