I have Ten Point crossbow. I might have shot it 20 times. I plan to hunt with it the first 2 weeks of the season before I head to Zim. While I shoot it well, it seems loud to me.
What would you experts recommend for a FAST and QUIET crossbow?

ghostbirdLarry,
I don't think there is such a thing as a quiet crossbow... all the one I have shot or seen shot are pretty loud. That being said I do think that the crossbows with recurve limbs as opposed to compound crossbows seem to be quieter.
I don't know what type of limbs your Ten Point has, but all crossbows I have seen are very loud compared to regular vertical bows.

ShofGhostbird's answer is about the same as what I was going to say. Crossbows are simply louder than conventional bows.
But don't worry a great deal because you've got one of the best crossbows on the market. Just realize that you've got ONE CHANCE to put an arrow through your target, so make it count. You WON'T get a second shot...

infinitoLarry, check out Striker. Got one for my dad last week...and he LOVES it! It is the best of the bunch that I have seen, although I must admit I have not been exposed to many of them!

GatogordoHaving just ordered my first crossbow, I know almost nothing about them, but Outdoor Life ran a test of the "best 12 for 2012", both for crossbows and compounds wherein they listed the db levels.
The 2 quietest crossbows were the Darvon Serpent Visla LTD II ($899) @ 89.6db and the Tenpoint Carbon Elite XLT ($1699) @ 90.4db. These are quieter than the majority of compounds tested but a couple of the compounds were 3 to 6 DB lower. Some of the compounds were aroud 95db or higher. Since 3 DB is a substantial difference (about 10x the sound level), some compounds are quieter, but by no means all. Basically most compounds and most crossbows are similar in sound levels.
