sscoyoteTwisted recurve limb
Does anyone know if there's a way to fix a twisted limb on a recurve??

Boss KongoniIf it's not a severe twist, warm the limb with a hair drier, and gently twist it back, holding it until it cools.
I was sucessful on a very slight twist.
If it's a sever twist send it back to the bowyer.

owensbyYou can hold it in the sink under hot water and work it back in place too.Used to do this many years ago.

375 alaskaAll are correct, but do not get it too hot as that may delaminate the limbs, also if you are not using a bow stringer it would help to prevent twist if you did . take care. Greg

sscoyoteThe main reason i'm asking this is sometimes you can find some oddball bows at Garage sales, pawn shops, etc., but of course since they were almost all stored in a corner, the limbs are all twisted. It would be nice to know of a way to restore them.
