Well, I got my 'european' mount of 'the small one' I shot earlier this year. I've tried to edit my previous post to include the photo's, but am still kind of photo posting ignorant! I'll keep trying.

He ended up @ 119 3/8 P&Y final score.

Very nice! How did you get the skull so white. Mine are never that good. I boil and use bleach.

bfrshooter, I boil and bleach also, I use a lot of salt during the boiling--that has seemed to make a big difference between some of the earlier ones I did. ( I think the flash on the camera helped a lot too... I know my shirt isn't that white)

Don_G, the 'big' (bigger) one that was with this one (and was the one I thought I was shooting), had slightly longer eye guards, beter G-3's and was a little wider, a little more mass, and main beams a fair bit longer. I would guess he would score in the mid to high 130's. I haven't harvested an animal that would be P&Y min with a bow, I sure would like to get this guys' big cousin, I know he would 'make the book'.

Guys try boiling with baking soda. Then instead of bleach, try 30% hydrogen peroxide. You get it fron a barber supply store. The "regular" stuff is only 3%.

That's very nice. I love the configuration. Now you need to screw it down to a pretty piece of wood.

Boss, good tip--I had heard of the peroxide, just haven't ever tried it -- I will. Hadn't ever heard of the baking soda--I'll try that as well, maybe it well help neutralize some of the 'aroma'

Plinker, you're probably right--I go back and forth between mounts on the plaques and not--mine are all on a wall that is tongue and groove birch, stained a walnut color.....
