Swede44magFirst you will need to find how much bow weight/pounds is required to be legal for buffalo. Then find out what is the heaviest pull weight you can shoot accurately. I read a post about a guides client trying to shoot dangerous game with a bow. When the time came to shoot the client couldnt draw the bow back, but could shoot targets with no problem.
Best of luck with your hunt.

Boss KongoniJuan - I am preparing for a Cape Buff hunt in Zimbabwe in Sept. of 2005. I believe my set up would also work for Water Buff. I have a friend that outfits for WaterBuff in Austraila and has advised me for my hunt.
I'll be hunting a Navajo T/D, 84# recurve. My arrows will be Alaskian Bow Hunting Supply's, Safari Shafts behind 200 gr, steelforce two blade broadheads, for a total wt. of 725 gr.. These arrows fly at appx. 200 fPS. Which give me flat trajectory out to 30yrds. However, my goal is to shoot at 20 yrds or less.
I've had very impressive results with my 70# bow (in pic with kudu) and quite honesty believe it could do the job. But, the extra energy can't hurt. Besides I wanted a new bow!!!
