How will Paris Accord Joe affect the muscle car world? Buy the big muscle car now while you can?

Opus1Picture the 1980's but with gas prices in the $3.75/gal range.
I must give it to Vapor Joe, I thought he was just pretending but looks like he will go full suicidal with the green manifesto.
All I can say is it will be a very short two years before the Mid Terms.

Opus1Joe and the manifesto gang will tell everyone EV's are the way to go to meet the new emission standards they hope to impose.
So I wonder where the $1.5 to $2 trillion will come from to upgrade our electrical grid for the EV push? And then where and how will the new road tax be imposed?
With future electricity costs, taxes, and operating costs basically the same or higher than gasoline engines per mile, how happy will EV consumers be? And then, what to do with all the old batteries?
This will be an interesting train wreck to watch.

Pocket change for Dem's......
I am already looking at a new business plan. My business was growing with GW Jr., stalled with Obama, rose with Trump. However, with Sleepy Joe in, I am not sure
that we will survive.

Opus1Jason, who really knows what is actually going to happen, but with the radical plans that Wheezy Joe is postulating, it's not going to be a very productive environment for small businesses. Higher taxes and more regulations is not the secret sauce for growth. Quite the opposite really.
All we can do is get out the vote for the midterms and shut down the radicals. Then we'll wait for better leadership, but it's going to be a long two years...
Hang in there!

Thank you!
I was discussing the election with my son and he brought up a good point. He said the only advantage to Biden winning is that there will be more Republican votes for the midterms

Opus1Very true in my opinion. Folks will quickly have their fill of socialism, excessive taxes, rampant crime, no median income growth and a bumbling fool in the White House.
Since we can't burn her at the stake, I am going to enjoy watching Pelosi hang on for dear life for the next two years. Maybe AOC will finally knock her dentures out.
Cheers buddy

NormanConquestLast I heard he was also pushing for any vehicle over 7 years old to be illegal, good luck on that one!

Buttigieg floated an 18 cent per gallon fuel tax hike and a change to "miles traveled" tax.

NormanConquestSo have you heard about the new "Carbon Points" scandal? Basically, every American is given X amount of "carbon points" r/e gas. When you exceed your monthly allowance ou have to purchase more from the Fed. So , let's see; the folks that are working + producing jobs + volumes of employees are now being degraded for doing the "Right Thing"? B. S.!" This is not conspirator theory but appears all too real today.
Never mistake motion for action.

I remember the middle 70s, 396 Chevelles and 383 Road Runners going for pennies when teenagers who owned them could not pay for gas.
A far-sighted friend bought two Z28s, one to drive and one to finance his retirement. Henis were never cheap but compared to now? Hmmm...
The Age of Classic Cars is in question now, anything newer than 1990s runs on electronics that are no longer in production.
The question now is, what to buy and from what decade?
Antique tractor collectors can make their own parts in a machine shop, same as back when.

I watched a youtube video in the Challenger Hellcat Redeye that said you could empty the gas tank from full to empty in 7 minutes if you could find somewhere to run 200 mph + for that length of time.
